The function of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Army is to maintain peace and order in the community, while the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) focuses on fire prevention and protection.

The PNP has stations in all municipalities of Aurora located within their municipal hall compounds. Its headquarter or nerve center is located at Camp Ravina, Brgy. Sabang, Baler, Aurora. For security reasons the number of PNP personnel is not considered for presentation in this report. Complementary to police protective services are Barangay Police or barangay tanods found in the barangays.

For Fire Protection, three (3) municipalities have hire fighting units (stations). These are the municipalities of Baler, Maria Aurora and Dingalan.
