Social works are being undertaken by the Social Welfare and Development Offices of the Provincial Government (PSWDO) and Municipal Governments (MWSDO) which serve as the lead agencies providing social works to indigent sector. These offices also offer services to different sectoral groups such as women, children, youth and disabled/senior citizens. Program carried out include family and community welfare, program, emergency assistance program and livelihood development services.
