1. Aurora, which became part of Central Luzon in 2002 by virtue of EO No. 103, had 187,802 total population which is only 1.93 % of the regional total. This placed the province with the lowest population in the whole region.

2.  The population in the province grew at a very low rate of 1.07 or an average of about 2000 persons yearly or more of less 5 persons a day. This contributed to the downward trend of the population growth rate that started in the nineties.

3.  Consequently, the minimal growth rate of the province was reflected in the eight municipalities where only Baler with 1.98 growth rate had more than one person increase per day or about 653 individuals per year. The rest had less than one person added in the population per day.

 4. The population distribution by municipality placed Maria Aurora ( with 40 barangays ) with the highest population in its tota 35,289 or 18% of the provincial total.

 5. Baler, the capital town which ranked second in its population of 34,492 or 18.36% of the provincial total took the slot of being the most thickly populated municipality in Aurora.

 6. Dinalungan, the youngest town of Aurora had the lowest population in its total of 10,145 persons or 5.40% of province’s total count.
