Aurora province covers a portion of the Sierra Madre Mountain Ranges, hence it is generally mountainous. It has flat lands which are unevenly distributed throughout the province. The mountainous terrain is along the western part with minimal and steep slopes of 0.2 and 5-15 percent, respectively.

The municipality of Dingalan in the south has the most irregular topography with only small flat land portion.

Considering the overall nature of its topography, the province has major rivers, namely: Aguang River in Baler, Calabgan River in Casiguran, Ditale River and Dibutunan River in Dipaculao and Ibuna River and Singauan River in Dingalan. All of these rivers drain into the Pacific Ocean.
